As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.In this vital role, you will use your technical expertise to drive essential outcomes in the maintenance and development of the buildings and facilities across the Plate Mill site, as well as fixed plant assets within our plate processing facility.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, coordinating routine maintenance work involving steel structures and structural repairs, maintaining facilities—including building trades and plumbing work—and overseeing repairs and resheeting of plant building walls and roofs, as well as maintenance of the Hot Leveler and Cooling Bed. What Will You Do?As a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator, you will:supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenancecoordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the sectioncoach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actionsparticipate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projectsrespond to day-to-day and after-hours Mechanical equipment and reliability issuesMore About YouAs an enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will bring your experience and demonstrate a willingness to develop your skills.
