We’re proud of brands, like COLORBOND ® steel that inspire and protect everything from hospitals to bridges and stadiums.The Opportunity Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator in our Hot Strip Mill (HSM)-Roll Shop Team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.The Roll Shop is a critical support area within the HSM, responsible for maintaining and preparing the large fleet of work and back-up rolls that shape and finish hot-rolled steel. The shop plays a vital role in ensuring strip quality, surface finish, and consistent mill performance.This facility houses and operates large-scale industrial equipment, including automated roll grinders, automated and manual overhead cranes, and other specialised fitting machinery. The team also manages the upkeep of the building infrastructure, ensuring reliability of key services such as air, water, lighting, and safety systems.In this critical role, you will use your technical background and planning experience to deliver key outcomes in maintaining and developing the Roll Shop, its critical equipment, and its infrastructure. You'll implement and improve our maintenance strategies to achieve optimum equipment performance and reduction in failures, as a result; your contributions will ensure that this world-class asset delivers safe, efficient and reliable continuous operations.What Will You Do?As a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator, you will:supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenancecoordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the sectioncoach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actionsparticipate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projectsrespond to the day-to-day Mechanical availability and reliability issuesMore About YouAs an enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will bring your experience and demonstrate a willingness to develop your skills.
