POSITION SUMMARY:
This position requires you to plan , problem solve, and assemble fabricated spools per shop drawing while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.
Essential Functions of the job:
Devise a safe and effective plan for each shift.
Ability to problem solve and make a decision.
Read and understand all isometric spool drawings.
Use and maintain proper hand tools, cutting equipment and automated equipment to perform the task presented to you.
Knowledge of the different material types, pipe sizes, fitting and pipe specs, and fitting and pipe thicknesses.
Ensure pipe spools are fit per spec and detail that is provided.
Ensure all tools, work area, and equipment are clean and in an orderly fashion.
Maintain the proper amount of work per station to reach goals.
Ensure final product is accurately documented and geometric orientation is correct.
Ability to learn basic computer skills for inputting and documentation of the jobs being performed on shop floor.
Ability to receive, communicate and train upcoming team members.
Uphold a professional and respectful attitude.
Intermittent Duties
Ensure continued Safety, Quality, and Production requirements are maintained.
Essential Skills and Experience Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Experience of welding procedures and processes GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW
Knowledge of mathematics.
5 year experience in fabrication
Non-Essential Skills and Experience (not required, but would be a plus)
Certified with forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift
