Hello, we have an immediate need for welders, tack welders, and pipefitters locally in the Greenville area. This is full time position, not contract. Currently working 40 hours a week but will eventually go to 5 10's Monday through Friday with ocassional Saturdays. Pay raise evaulations are after 60 days, for example you could get hired in at 25-30 an hour and get bumped to 34 an hour for good performance.
Pipefitter Descripton.
Devise a safe and effective plan for each shift.
Ability to problem solve and make a decision.
Read and understand all isometric spool drawings.
Use and maintain proper hand tools, cutting equipment and automated equipment to perform the task presented to you.
Knowledge of the different material types, pipe sizes, fitting and pipe specs, and fitting and pipe thicknesses.
Ensure pipe spools are fit per spec and detail that is provided.
Ensure all tools, work area, and equipment are clean and in an orderly fashion.
Maintain the proper amount of work per station to reach goals.
Ensure final product is accurately documented and geometric orientation is correct.
Ability to learn basic computer skills for inputting and documentation of the jobs being performed on shop floor.
Ability to receive, communicate and train upcoming team members.
Uphold a professional and respectful attitude.
Intermittent Duties
Ensure continued Safety, Quality, and Production requirements are maintained.
Essential Skills and Experience Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Experience of welding procedures and processes GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW
Journeyman Welder
The Welder is responsible for ensuring that all welding processes are being executed properly, and while welding on the fabricated pipe spools, you are following the customer specifications and WPS required to complete the weld It is essential to have extensive knowledge of each weld process and associated procedures to be able to ensure conformity and quality welds.
Essential Functions of the job:
Perform work under direct supervision of the welding supervisor and shop superintendent.
Ensure all PPE is being worn, safety policies and procedures are being adhered to.
Ability to read and understand all isometric’s and 2D spool drawings.
Knowledge of welding various types of material.
Understand how to determine what WPS’s are required for the weld that is being produced. Experience of welding process to include GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, & STT
Be able to pass a 6G 2” carbon steel monster coupon test. Radiograph or bend test will be performed and needs to pass.
Be able to pass a 6G position 2” stainless steel schedule 10 test. Visual test only (No I.D color allowed)
Tack Welders- Able to assist and must be strong, specifically in TIG welding.
