Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the construction industry in Greenville, South Carolina. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with managing accounts receivable and collections, as well as customer service. You will also be expected to think creatively, be self-motivated, and be comfortable having direct conversations with customers. Responsibilities Handle collections and customer service tasks Exhibit creative problem-solving skills and self-motivation in daily tasks Directly communicate with customers to manage their accounts Utilize Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, and Excel for tasks such as running reports, inputting data into excel, filtering, etc. Send invoices to customers and manage contracts using Adobe PRO Collaborate with the team to develop payment plans for customers and follow escalation processes when necessary Work on cash collections and commercial collections Perform billing functions and prepare billing statements. Requirements Proficiency in handling cash collections and commercial collections. Comprehensive understanding of billing functions and processes. Ability to generate accurate and timely billing statements. Experience in commercial collections is essential. Familiarity with industry-standard accounting software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and in a team. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Understanding of confidentiality protocols and detail oriented discretion. Prior experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry would be beneficial. Relevant certification or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous. Ability to adapt to changing work environment and varying tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to handle high volumes of financial data.
