Machine Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Responsibilities & OpportunitiesSika is looking for experienced Machine Operator to join it’s growing team in Gastonia, NC.  This position will assist the shift supervisor in coordinating the work of production employees involved in production activities.  Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and product.  Operates manufacturing line.  Requires the ability to vary prescribed operating conditions as necessary to produce quality parts.  Changes and adjust operating conditions to maintain proper quality.Other Duties include:To operate one or more of the following: the mixing system; calendar; press; hot melt; embosser 1, 2, and 3; anti-sticking agent unit; adhesive unit 1 and 2; U.V. unit; magnetizing unitTo start up the hot oil heater and water chillersPerform quality testing; make corrections for out-of-spec conditionsEnsure production scheduled to adhered toAssist in training new production employeesPerform some maintenance on the press and report any needed repairs on the machinesAssist in labeling and packing parts
