Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and financial recordkeeping. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely, including verifying invoices, managing payments, and reconciling client/vendor accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records by entering data into accounting systems and ensuring consistency with company guidelines and procedures.
Assist with bank reconciliations, cash handling, and resolving discrepancies in financial reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Monitor financial transactions and resolve any billing or accounting issues with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal regulations.
Organize, file, and manage accounting documents, including invoices, receipts, and purchase orders, for easy retrieval and recordkeeping.
Assist in special projects or additional duties as needed to support the finance and accounting department.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with strong Excel skills.
Experience with accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with team members and clients.
Capable of handling sensitive financial data with integrity and discretion.
Motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
