Construction Superintendent/Builder

David Weekley Homes Charlotte Team is hiring Builders (Construction Superintendent/Manager) to oversee new residential construction in our Charlotte, North Carolina Division. Your sense of accomplishment will build with each new home as you manage 30+ subcontractors and the building process with full accountability for quality.  Using your organizational and motivational talents, balancing field management with office activities, you and your teammates will help to create a community you can be proud of.The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a focus on customer delight and sense of urgency.Job Responsibilities:The planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of quality built homes from development through final construction on a timely & economical basis.  Selection, coordination, oversight & management of people, materials, budgets, schedules & contracts.Oversee the scheduling, delivery & use of materials, the quality of construction, worker productivity & compliance with building/safety codes. Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sitesUnderstand contracts, plans, construction methods & regulationsTrack & control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overrunsPrepare daily, monthly & quarterly reportsSchedule and manage subcontractors and sub-contractor relationships in order to build homes on schedule and close on time  Complete homes and all customer walk through items prior to closingConduct weekly Home Buyer Meetings with Customers
