Award-winning King BBQ in North Charleston is looking for a Junior Sous Chef. Named Eater 2023 Best New South Carolina BBQ and dubbed “unlike any other in the country” by The Post and Courier, King BBQ is looking to expand our growing team. Candidate must be passionate about BBQ and learning Chinese cuisine, and a hard worker who likes being in a professional environment with a happy, low-drama team. You will aid the CDC and Sous Chef in a variety of ordering, maintaining the line, expo, prep, and smokehouse. Candidate must have 2 years of experience cooking in a casual or fine dining restaurant, reliable transportation, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Your work week is Thursday through Monday and pay is salaried and competitive with experience. Vision, dental, and health insurance after 3 months. Paid time off and let’s not forget, daily staff meal.
