Deputy Quality Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOBPerform administrative duties to support the maintenance of the quality management system.RESPONISIBILITIESGeneralEnsure adherence to Standard Operating proceduresEnsure adherence to company Code of EthicsEnsure all duties are performed in accordance with accepted service delivery standards.Maintain quality, efficiency and confidentiality of service.Liaise with and assist Quality ManagerPerform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.Quality SystemSupport the Quality Manager with administrative tasks required for the maintenance and implementation of the quality management systemPeriodic maintenance / verification of equipmentUpdating of electronic records on SharePointUpdating of quality control chartsEnvironmental monitoringTraining / refresher training of staff on quality proceduresGeneration of system reportsAdhere to all quality requirements of the SGS management systemReport deviations and communicate instructions to improve and maintain the quality system.Conduct internal audits on the management systemCompile data for management reviewHealth & Safety SystemAdhere to all safety requirements of the SGS management system.Actively participate in safety related activitiesAlways wear appropriate protective clothingAdhere to all relevant Health & Safety procedures and protocolsKeep workplace and equipment neat and tidySPECIFIC AUTHORITIESCease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection, and report the situation to higher authority to take action.Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and report the situation to higher authority to take action. Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.Other specific authorities as indicated on the Agri Food Laboratory Designated Staff List
