Position Summary The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations (program manager) oversees state required Medicaid communications within the Marketing Strategy & Operations team. Marketing Managers work collaboratively with the health plans in each state to ensure that state required materials are produced compliantly and within brand standards (where applicable). The Marketing Manager will be the bridge between the health plans, Marketing brand team, creative teams (including outside vendor partners), and translation/remediation vendors to produce state required materials on time and accurately. The Marketing manager is a subject matter expert on each state and their requirements for their materials (including translation requirements, reading grade level, required disclaimers, etc.). The Marketing Manager must be a strategic thinker who excels at identifying process efficiencies, delighting the client, exceeds overall program success, and adheres to Aetna Marketing’s vision and goals. This pivotal role plays a crucial part in advancing Medicaid’s expansion, ensuring adherence to compliance and state requirements, and providing essential support for both expansion and implementation initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for oversight of Medicaid state required materials as requested by the health plan within Marketing Operations for each Medicaid state health plan.

Recommends, advises and implements on opportunities for essential program improvements, including streamlining and efficiencies, and self-service solutions

Develops “trusted advisor” relationship with our Medicaid health plans in each state

Understands digital technology and options to educate and steer clients towards digital communications as appropriate.

Anticipates problems and sees how a problem and its solution will affect other projects, people or processes; keeps all parties informed of program status.

Acts as brand steward to create cohesive materials that align to Aetna’s overall brand strategy.

Understand Medicaid products, audiences and business objectives and ensures they are applied to client programs; collaborates with designers and writers to ensure product delivers on client promises.

Works closely with outside vendors to design, translate and remediate projects.

Ability to work on multiple projects within multiple states at the same time.

Reviews products for quality, consistency, accuracy, and ensures that consistent image/messaging is conveyed across Medicaid materials.

Involves direct supervisor as appropriate and alerts him/her to potential challenges and opportunities for Marketing Operations

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Marketing Operations/project management experience

Prior industry experience preferably in government programs

Prior internal/ external agency experience in program management/Account Management.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive Medicaid business knowledge

Excellent project management skills – ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

Executes essential program management success through accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all edits are implemented correctly; specs, brand, deadlines adhered to)

Becomes a Subject Matter Expert on each of their health plan’s state requirements for materials (appropriate disclaimers, logos, brand, reading requirement levels, translation requirements, remediation requirements, etc.). Each state has their own rules for their materials.

Is an ambassador for the Aetna Brand and it’s visual and verbal brand identity

Demonstrates knowledge of marketing best practices and consumer focus

Demonstrates expertise in applications and tools such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Workfront

States opinions clearly and can verbally update on project status, asks probing questions

Is proactive in all client relations, including meeting scheduling to check in, exhibits strong “be of service” attitude

Is willing to and adept at challenging the status quo in a productive way with clients

Is pragmatic with business strategies always keeping eye on the objectives of the assignment

Listens well and incorporates other’s viewpoints into project management process

Adept at crisis management, resourceful and solution-oriented

Workfront or other project management systems experience, Agile experience a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing, communications, advertising, or business) or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience) required

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$75,400.00 - $166,000.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
