We are interviewing skilled, energetic, and reliable candidates for our Assistant Maintenance Technician position to round out our Facilities team. Experience in a woodwork manufacturing facility and being mechanically inclined are job requirements. Looking for a candidate who is proud to help with issues, keep our facility in order and running smoothly.
After performing a daily facilities checklist, and taking care of any issues that arise, you will help to maintain and repair tools and machinery. This includes vacuuming sawdust and performing preventative maintenance on woodworking equipment like moulders, CNC's, various power tools, and building systems. This job also includes year-round facilities up-keep - inside and outside, including snow removal, some landscaping, etc.

This is an ASSISTANT position that will pay up to $24/hour based on your skill level and experience. Pay increases are based on your job performance, willingness to work, ability to follow instructions, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.

+ Always follows Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while carrying out your maintenance functions, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out
+ Is ready to learn new skills.
+ PHYSICALLY ABLE to help your team maintain our Buildings and Grounds, inside and out, year round with Minimum Supervision.
+ Lives in Rhode Island or nearby Massachusetts.
+ Willing to help wherever you are needed; basically doing a little of everything, and assisting other departments as needed.
+ Can keep a Positive attitude and work well with others
+ Is available to work overtime when necessary
+ Will occasionally run errands - picking up materials/supplies.
+ Is DEPENDABLE and will arrive at work on time every day!
