Internship opportunity for Summer 2025 term. General Summary: We will provide hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, where you will gain practical skills and knowledge in quality control, regulatory compliance, and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be motived and detail oriented. Essential Functions:
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist in the daily operations of the quality lab, including sample preparation, testing, and analysis.
Conduct routine quality control tests and document results in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), lab test methods and policies and regulatory guidelines.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, USP, GMP).
Participate in the investigation of non-conformances and out-of-specification results and assist in the development of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) if applicable.
Help prepare technical reports, summaries, and documentation related to quality control activities.
Perform equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting under the supervision of experienced lab personnel.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, maintenance and plant operations to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related science field.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media forms – verbal, written, etc.
Strong interest in quality control, regulatory compliance, and laboratory science.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Minitab and PowerBi is a plus.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior laboratory experience or coursework in quality control/assurance is a plus.
