Administers, facilitates, and explains different benefit programs to System employees.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:

Provides customer service to team members regarding retirement and some related benefits.

Explains benefit plans, costs, and procedures to team members in group and individual discussions.

Assists in the training and direction of other benefits team members including assistance with daily administrative matters.

Ensures the processes benefit enrollment, change and termination actions and assist team members with same.

Assists with annual benefit open enrollment to include: Reviewing communication materials; Processing ACA Standard Measurement reports and communications to impacted employees; Participating in Townhall meetings; Monitoring customer service site to assist with resolution of customer service tickets.

Completes Verification of Employment forms related to benefit enrollment of team members and dependents.

Daily maintenance of customer service site for the resolution of team member questions and concerns.

Ensures accuracy of HCM system user field/benefit groups related to benefit payroll deductions.

Maintains team members' personal benefit data to include the scanning and uploading of documents to team member electronic personnel file (i.e., spouse/dependent verification forms, payroll deduction forms, correspondence, etc.).

Works with WellSpan Population Health to ensure timely communication of missed premium payments.

Coordinates with Population Health regarding urgent COBRA's claims and enrollment, along with Premium Payment process. Maintains and participates in any testing needed for upgrades or installations of HCM systems.

Maintains knowledge of all benefit legal requirements as required, e.g., COBRA, ACA and Medicare Part D Credible Coverage.

Creation of and distribution of benefit related HCM reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Reviews standard work processes to ensure accuracy and uniformity across the team. This should be ongoing as well as documented semi-annual reviews to be conducted.

Provides customer service to team members regarding retirement and some related benefits questions.

Explains retirement plan benefits, along with additional retiree benefits to team members who have questions or inquiries.

Processes the weekly payroll contribution in third party administrator system for the Retirement Savings Plan, ensuring it balances to payroll.

Ensures the retirement plans are administered in accordance with organization guidelines, plan documents and government regulations.

Assists with annual audit of Retirement Plans with external auditing firm including: Collection of HR Data and Information; Balancing of Payroll Contributions for the year.

Responds to and closes tickets within HR Service Center system in a timely manner.

Provides Define Pension Benefit Vendor information bi-annually for finance reports.

Processes monthly invoices related to Retirement.

On a daily basis, processes the requests for Retirement Savings plan distributions.

Collaborates with third party administrator for the Retirement Savings plan on weekly outstanding items and rectifies them.

Common Expectations:

Maintains benefits records and documents necessary for implementing various benefit coverage.

Remains knowledgeable in compliance issues including SPD and other notice and communication requirements and HIPAA, COBRA and ERISA compliance and timing issues. Develops and maintains compliance schedules for various areas of benefits.

Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.

Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.

Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Provides back-up telephone coverage for other support staff, routing calls appropriately or taking clear messages.

QualificationsMinimum Education:

Bachelors Degree Required

Work Experience:

3 years Experience in benefits, insurance processing or general personnel administration. Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.

Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new computer applications.
