DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs the supervisor of the survey team, your responsibilities will include overseeing all survey functions such as determining elevation, location, and distances in the assigned survey area. You will also be in charge of managing the electronic downloading and editing of survey data using the Computer Aided Drafting and Design System (CADD). Additionally, you will supervise the operation of electronic total station survey systems and conventional survey equipment, ensuring that all necessary instruments and tools are utilized efficiently. Another aspect of your role will involve creating weekly and daily plans for the execution of work tasks. This will include determining the appropriate equipment to be used and assigning specific jobs to each member of the survey team to ensure optimal efficiency in completing the work. Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing training and assistance to the survey team members in the use of all surveying equipment, as well as reading and interpreting plans and performing survey computations. Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Survey Technician;or

Four years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments;or

Two years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments, and an associate's degree in surveying, drafting, design, civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.

Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.
