THE POSITIONThe Department of Transportation, Bureau of Design and Delivery, Contract Management Division has an immediate opening for a Labor and Contract Compliance Coordinator to serve as the Department’s Prequalification Officer and oversee the oversee the statewide management of the Labor Compliance program. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs the Prequalification Officer, you will assist the Contractor Evaluation Engineer in directing the statewide Contractor Prequalification Program in accordance with Title 67, Chapter 457, Prequalification of Bidders. You will administer the regulations and procedures of this chapter to ensure policies and procedures are followed in the field for all construction projects.You will also verify contractor experience and evaluate Prequalification Applications for approval to perform work on highway and bridge construction. You will resolve work classification code disputes with contractors and participate in prequalification appeal meetings.You will also conduct investigations on allegations against contractors on prequalification and labor compliance issues and prepare letters to contractors to initiate suspension and debarment actions against contractors. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Eligible for Alternate Work Schedule (AWS).

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Labor and Contract Compliance Agent or

Three years of technical contract compliance or affirmative action work which involved the monitoring of a compliance program. An Associate's Degree in approved fields may be substituted for one year of experience or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
