If so, the Human Resource (HR) Service Center, Work-Related Injury Services (WRIS), is seeking an ambitious and organized Human Resource Analyst 1 to join their team of professionals. DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis Human Resource Analyst 1 position functions as a valued member of the Work-Related Injury Services team to manage and process a wide variety of claims for the Commonwealth. Within this role, you must utilize and maintain knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation Act and special benefits programs which includes compliance with the PA Workers’ Compensation Act, PA Act 632/534, PA Heart & Lung Act and their related regulations and case laws, claims investigation, injury leave processing, transitional duty assignment, Commonwealth Management Directives and Manuals, collective bargaining agreements and past practices, the Accident and Illness Prevention Program (AIPP), the Personnel Rules, and agency specific policies related to injuries and illnesses at work. You will be responsible for reviewing and investigating assigned claims by talking with the supervisor and employee, and occasionally speaking with witnesses and safety investigators. You will p rovide verbal and written information to employees and supervisors regarding the compensation and medical treatment for workers’ compensation, Act 632/534 or Heart & Lung benefits if applicable, possible overpayments, leave, and return to work options. Duties also include working closely with the third-party administrator to develop case strategies for returning employees to work or closing claims, as well as ensuring leave is entered for all absences, including medical appointments. Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
