DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 at the Department of Corrections, your role involves conducting intricate professional analysis for fiscal information related to general accounting, general fund reporting, and supporting activities at various Regional Business Offices. You will be responsible for preparing budget and financial reports for the monthly budget projections, conducting quarterly contract reviews, year-end miscellaneous encumbrances, and other budget-related tasks for the general, medical, and education fund. Additionally, you will oversee the advancement account, accounts payable, purchasing card (VISA), comptroller, direct charge payments, and accounts receivable processing. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,035.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or

One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown
