Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in TREVOSE, Pennsylvania. This role is pivotal in overseeing the company's general accounting functions, ensuring adherence to internal policies, and delivering on requirements. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will be instrumental in managing strategic initiatives focused on internal processes and continuous improvements, ensuring a smooth and accurate monthly accounting close cycle, and maintaining the company's cost structure.Responsibilities: Facilitate and support the month-end close process, record keeping, and progress tracking Manage the close process and monthly journal entries Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet account reconciliations Participate in periodic reviews and annual audits to provide information to independent auditors and examiners Compare standard costs to actual costs and investigate variances Support costing setup, updates, and reporting Assist with inventory obsolescence process and accruals Conduct various ad hoc accounting research and reporting Maintain understanding of company policies, business processes and procedures, departmental goals, and business plan Determine and implement procedural changes to drive automation, efficiency and to mitigate risk. Requirements Must have at least 3 years of experience in an Accounting Manager/Supervisor role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Must be experienced in managing all Accounting Functions Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Must have experience in Auditing and Billing Functions Knowledge of Month End Close process is a must Ability to perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Understanding of Annual Standard Cost, Activity Based Costing is required Ability to Explain Variance, Identify Variance, and Investigate Variance is necessary Experience in managing Inventory Variance, Cost Variance, and Manufacturing Variance is preferred Knowledge of Asset Inventory management is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP is required Must have experience in Supervisory Oversight of a team.
