We are a small tech driven residential real estate service company looking for a construction technician for our property management team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and improvement of our properties. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include responding to maintenance requests, performing unit turnovers, and conducting unit rehabs. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Conduct unit turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs, to prepare units for new tenants.
Perform unit rehabs, including but not limited to, drywall installation, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a variety of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Collaborate with property managers and other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively with tenants, providing excellent customer service and addressing their concerns professionally.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
Proven experience as a construction technician or similar role in property management or construction.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
