Deck crew leader
This job involves being highly skilled and highly efficient in both building elaborate composite decks as well as detailed patio roofs. This position would start off as an assistant crew leader who would be in charge when the lead is not on site. Usually a true lead runs multiple projects at once so there may be entire days where he is not onsite, the assistant would be responsible for keeping production moving at an efficient pace and to the proper specs. You must be able to understand and plan ahead for the various nuances of each project as well as make best use of the available helpers. This position requires being a motivated self starter who is able to be efficient and get results on a daily basis. The crew leader needs to be the most efficient and productive person on the job site, crew leader positions are not hands off management roles. There is definitely the possibility of evolving into a more hands off position but that will take time and depends on the individual. Starting off as a crew leader will require extensive , verifiable proof of your previous work. Telling me that “ I just lost my phone , pics , tools and helpers “ isn’t going to work. I will absolutely train you for this position if you are honest about your previous experience and skill set.
General / deck labor
This position involves all general labor related tasks including loading and unloading trucks , making delivery’s , job site prep , helping with construction , clean up etc etc. These positions offer the ability to advance to carpenter quickly with a solid work ethic. This job pays 20-25 hourly plus a bonus when making delivery’s.
Skilled carpenter
This job involves building decks and patio roof projects across the Pittsburgh area. Carpenters are responsible for all aspects of carpentry such as cutting and installing framing , decking , railings , stairs , trim etc etc. If you can not run decking, build framing , install band skirting and other such tasks on day one you are not a carpenter and would be applying for general labor. If you are used to hacking things at your current position there will be a transition period of learning to do things our way. The job offers the ability to advance to crew leader. Carpenters are paid 25- 35 hourly
General labor / delivery driver
This job involves all general labor related tasks on a deck job site as well as making delivery’s of deck related items. This position pays 20+ hourly plus a bonus to be discussed. If you are hardworking and motivated this can lead to a management position.
Sub Contractor
The sub positions are currently full but will be opening in the next few months , The only way to move into a highly desirable sub arrangement is to come in as an assistant crew lead to learn how we do things and we can build the trust required to leave you alone and 100% responsible for a site. Unless you were a sub for Viviano or Hodgkiss and you have extensive proof of that I am not hiring sub contractors off the street. Without verified high level experience being a sub will working here hourly for roughly 2 months to learn how we do things.
