Electronic Resources SpecialistThis position is responsible for the coordination, configuration, and administration of the institution's extensive electronic resources collections. This position is instrumental in supporting the research and learning needs of the university community. Responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of electronic resources, including e-journals, databases, e-books, and digital media, from acquisitions to accessibility. Monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves access issues by communicating with vendors and stakeholders to ensure optimal functionality of resources. Reviews, interprets, and tracks license agreements to ensure compliance to support users. Collaborates with others throughout the acquisitions and collection development process to assess and select new electronic resources. Provides support in the collection, analysis, and reporting of usage statistics and incorporates usage data into unit's renewal and cancellation review processes. This position is also responsible for training library staff and patrons on the use of electronic resource, providing specialized technical support and documentation as needed. Candidates will be expected to recognize, respect, and work effectively with individuals and groups with diverse perspectives and backgrounds in all aspects of their work and take initiative in learning about issues relating to equity, diversity, and inclusion.Job SummaryFacilitates the digital library collection, approves collection expansion requests, and verifies the accuracy of all library records. Oversees student workers and performs certain human resource actions. Resolves digital library collection issues.Essential FunctionsServes library patrons by assisting with access to electronic resources. Configures electronic resource platforms for access by library patrons.

Prepares data and reports for assessment of electronic resources. Edits, revises, or updates interfaces and files containing metadata. Analyzes catalog holdings to maintain accurate records.
