THE POSITIONThe North Shore Sub Office of the Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an individual who is highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges. This position is within the Department of Corrections.DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will be responsible for training new staff, overseeing clerical operations, and interpreting work assignments. In this role, you will also make independent decisions on which processes to follow and determine the appropriateness of information to process. Your responsibilities will also involve taking action on various tasks and ensuring that operations are carried out efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will serve as a lead worker, providing guidance and support to other clerical staff.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:

You must obtain Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification within three months of employment and maintain this certification for the duration of employment in this position.

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirement:

You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.In accordance with the seniority provisions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, this position was previously posted for seniority candidates.
