Robert Half has a permanent Entry Level Staff Accountant position that will give you the opportunity to grow and expand your skills. The Staff Accountant position is onsite in the Downtown, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region. The responsibilities held by the Staff Accountant include the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. A great deal of time in this position will be spent producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility during the monthly close. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications Maintain and update customer credit records regularly Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a professional manner Monitor customer credit accounts regularly for any irregularities Take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments from customers Prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, and bank reconciliation Conduct general ledger reconciliation Develop Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets Participate in compliance and liaise with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits Review schedules for the reporting processes Analyze income statements and balance sheets and report findings to management Support the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP Maintain monthly payment schedules Comment on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner Use Accounting Software Systems, Acomba, Cl Programming, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, IBM AS/400, About Time, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) for Check ProcessingIf you have the appropriate background for the Staff Accountant role and are interested in being considered, please apply using the Robert Half website. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Experience with Acomba accounting software is desirable. Knowledge of Cl Programming and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is beneficial. Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and About Time software is a plus. Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary. Proficiency in check processing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality. Willingness to continuously improve and update knowledge and skills.
