Since 1993 the super friendly and knowledgeable team at Metropolitan Bakery has been tempting Philadelphians with freshly baked and hand-crafted bread, pastries, snacks, and their famous granola made from locally sourced ingredients. Metropolitan Bakery is seeking a Pastry Baker to join our team. This is a full or part time position at our Production Facility located in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.
Position: Pastry Baker to assist Pastry Chef with daily production
Schedule requirements: Full or Part time, Shift - 4:00 am to 12:00pm, up to 5 shifts per week
must be available weekends
Experience: 1 year of previous pastry production or training in pastry arts
Responsibilities: ability to perform all function of the pastry kitchen for daily production of bars, brownies, cakes, cookies, croissants, danishes.
Must be able to read and write English
ability to lift 50#
Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
