Job Description - Staff Accountant
Staff Accountant Philadelphia, PA Our Client is located within its corporate headquarters in the Independence Mall area of Philadelphia, this position offers an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual looking to bring a strong skill set in corporate accounting and financial statement analysis to directly impact a growing international organization. Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual producer reports with assistance from the supply chain team
- Analyze monthly operating results, manage balance sheet and income statement accounts, and prepare journal entries
- Work closely with the global team on ongoing account management, technical accounting issues, compliance filings and overall process improvement
- Assist in annual financial statement audits
- Monitor and advise management of any compliance issues
- Support both business development and sales and marketing teams through customer reporting and project analysis
- Lead projects and other duties and tasks as assigned
- Self-motivated individual who thrives in a team atmosphere
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 3- 5 years of accounting experience (inclusive of internship experience)
- Desire to learn new areas and assume additional responsibilities
- Honest, reliable, flexible, adaptable individual who is willing to learn and take direction from management
- Strong research skills with a working knowledge of GAAP and ability to keep technical knowledge current
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong MS Excel abilities
