The Senior Accountant furthers the company's goals through the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow, as well as the creation of budgets and forecasts, preparation of audits, and management of internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. You will need first-rate analytical skills to successfully fill this role. A full-time role, this position includes excellent compensation and benefits. Responsibilities:

Manage the regular month-end and year-end closing for all programs and projects

Analyze and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts

Ensure accuracy in the allocation of assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses

Resolve any discrepancies in financial records

Prepare schedules and financial statements to support annual audits

Ensure financial grant compliance and uphold fiscal responsibility

Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and manuals to enhance financial processes and controls

Assist in creating cash flow projections, budget variance analyses, and revenue forecasts.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance ConcentrationOther requirements for the Senior Accountant position include and are not limited to:

3+ years of experience in Accounting.

Non Profit experience preferred.

Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Quickbooks.

Ability to plan and organize work, both collaboratively and independently.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
