Purolite, an Ecolab Company, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking aReceiving Assistant to work at our Philadelphia manufacturing plant.Responsibilities and Authority:

Receive material in system of record (NHBA) against PO via system transaction.

Prepares thegoods received noteshowing the details of the materials received.

Full ownership to reliably provide receiving documents to accounts payable.

Prepare rejection notice or record of non-conforming materials.

Send notice of discrepancy to Procurement for corrective action with supplier.

Initiate a Quality inspection of inbound material with high risk, high value, previous rejection record, or to meet desired inbound inspection rate/percentage.

Keep damage, shortage, excess report and share with Procurement for supplier scorecard/supplier evaluation program.

Perform material put away.

Manage records and files properly

Performs other duties as directed

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this roleEducational and Experience Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent required and previous experience in purchasing for a related industry.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

Computer literate with advanced writing skills. Has the ability to initiate tasks and work in an independent manner. Must be able to communicate with visitors, professional and plant personnel.Contacts and Relationships:

Interfaces with other department personnel at GStreet plant locations. Requires good communication, interpersonal skills and interacts well with employees and management in other departments.Working Conditions:

Position operates in warehouse office generally free of excessive noise, temperature extremes or other hazards.Physical Demands:

Physical requirements: Requires ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, up to and including eight hours;

Visual requirements: Requires ability to use office equipment including viewing computer screens, write and review documentation. Close visual acuity in order to read small print, analyze data, transcribe, determine the accuracy, neatness or thoroughness of assigned work or work area.

Hearing requirements: Talk and/or hear normal audible sounds including the spoken word and sounds over the telephone. Understand and convey spoken instructions accurately, softly, loudly or quickly.

Mental requirements: Ability to comprehend complex information or instructions, interpret and convey information in a written or oral format.

Emotional demands: Ability and willingness to deal with high stress fast paced situations and make accurate and quick decisions.

Equipment use: Extensive computer use including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other software programs.
