Posted Date: Jun 21 2024We are looking for a Commercial Analytics Manager to join our U.S. Pharma Commercial Insights team, with a focus on the specialty business unit. This role requires strong data analytics experience, familiarity with connecting analytics to business decisions and strong matrix collaboration, interacting with several functions, including, BU leads, Forecasting, Commercial Data & Analytics, Payer/Trade, and Analytics Excellence. The role involves, specialty pharmacy claims analysis, customer demand versus fulfillment assessments, contract/payer impact analysis, and pull-through analytics.The ideal candidate will be hands on utilizing industry knowledge, software, and technology to provide innovative insights that drive strategic decision-making and timely promotional interventions.

Proactively identify opportunities (e.g. demand generation vs demand fulfilment, referral patterns, event driven market shifts) to drive informed business decision making

Glean novel insights on HCP and Patient behaviors through deep understanding of patient data and other data sources that can be integrated and provide recommendations to enhance customer experience

Work with commercial data team to design, mature and build trust in specialty data sources, and capabilities

Create succinct story boards to communicate data learnings influencing business decisions

Collaborate with external agencies as needed to conduct analyses that inform business decisions and translate insights into promotional strategies.

Continuously identify opportunities to:

Bring outside-in thinking: Understand analytics landscape within Pharma and outside Pharma as a way of best practice understanding and capability development

Increase efficiencies through process and analytics automation, as well as partnering with Commercial Data Strategy teams ensuring trusted data availability for standard and ad hoc marketing analyticsWhy you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Bachelors degree in Science - incl. Computer Sciences and Operations Research, Statistics, or in Finance/ Economics or related.

Experience working in or with Specialty Pharma companies or Specialty Business Units.

Marketing fundamentals & frameworks experience that can be applied to solve analytical problems.

Hands-on experience with analytical approaches and models, including segmentations, clustering methods, promotional response, digital analytics.

Experience with analytical ( Python,R,SQL etc.) & visualization tools ( PowerBI, Tableau etc.)

Experience with manipulating different datasets & statistical modeling.

Commercial analytics experience with at least two of the following therapeutic areas of Primary Care (particularly Respiratory), Specialty (Immunology, Oncology), Vaccines

Experience in multiple commercial analytics functions like call planning, targeting, customer segmentation is preferredPreferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

MBA, MS, or MA in business, marketing science, or science preferred

5+ years (including 2+ years in healthcare) with advanced degree preferred

2+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, full-time employment in mid-large organizations, or in leading global management consulting firm, with focus on Marketing and Customer Analytics, ideally in U.S. Commercial pharma

Innovative thinking and willingness to take risks with non-traditional analytics

Strong communication and presentation skills as evidenced through impactful presentations

Demonstrated ability to apply data and analyses to drive high impact business decisions

Strong business acumen

Ability to leverage and synthesize a broad range of information sources to develop insight and generate clear, actionable recommendations that impact decision-making at a business unit level

Deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry

Strong verbal and written communication/ presentation skills

Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
