About the RoleThe Inbound Account Manager is responsible for engaging with agencies and intermediaries and Scientific-Technical-Medical journals (STMJ) to support and close specific opportunities that maximize advertising sales and exceed annual sales targets. The Account Executive role will also be responsible for ensuring all advertising processes are managed, and executed correctly, whilst consulting with STMJ publishers, compliance and our commercial agents and intermediary partners. Responsibilities

Achieving advertising targets through incoming sales (inbound from individual enquiries, agencies and intermediaries.)

Incorporating the display advertising in journals, supplements and other ad hoc publications as needed.

Applying reactive opportunity driven engagement with customers, maximizing revenue and closing business.

Liaising with Societies sales and publishing to ensure advertising opportunities are shared, executed, maximized and managed as proactively as possible.

Supporting and generating ideas to generate new opportunities, more efficient customer liaison, and driving management and closing down of opportunities.

Demonstrating sound knowledge of trends in media buying and promotional activities and regulations.

Advertising Project Management and Planning, making appropriate use of all sales and marketing resources.

Demonstrate the ability to perform and implement ongoing resource planning and flexibility to adapt to business needs.

Liaising with the internal production departments and external vendors to determine both internal and client deadlines, along with coordinating the project specifications – including send dates and distribution lists.

Managing product portfolio. Products including Display Ads, Local Editions, Sponsored Supplements, Sponsored Special Issues, Roundtables, Webinars, Clinical Solutions offerings, including patient education pieces and custom chapter/section/full book reprints, Clinics offerings, and Lancet Clinics.

Ensuring products have pricing, compliance and operational guidelines and controls; documentation, oversight and implementation of sales and ad operations workflows; oversight of daily ad sale and publication and adjustments as needed; monitoring of ad sale types and schedules, ensuring billing completion; issue resolution.

Requirements
