Maintain financial data related to: budget, long range plan, decision support system, benchmarking & productivity tools, reporting, analytics and modeling. The primary responsibility of the Financial Data Analyst is to drive data analyses/reporting to support decision making.What you will doEssential FunctionsInvolved in the following: data analytics, financial decision support, business statistics, benchmarking, budgeting, long term strategic planning, predicative modeling, productivity, dashboard/financial reporting, financial analysis/trending, metric development, data/system quality and ad hoc analysis/projects.

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

Leads projects and trains analysts.

Involved in the following: data analytics, financial decision support, business statistics, benchmarking, budgeting, long term strategic planning, predicative modeling, productivity, dashboard/financial reporting, financial analysis/trending, metric development, data/system quality and ad hoc analysis/projects.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting the Gross Revenues for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia - King of Prussia Campus.The Analyst, under general supervision:

Reports, analyzes, and interprets complex abstract and financial data to assist management in the preparation of the monthly executive financial package.

Prepares financial documentation for external auditors.

Distributes monthly financial reports to internal customers.

Assists the Reimbursement Manager with creating ad-hoc reports and financial models to interpret revenue variances.

Contributes to the completion of the gross revenue budget.

Supports Revenue Integrity, Finance Business Partners, Senior Analysts and other team members with revenue analyses to ensure that gross revenue is properly reflected.Gross Revenue

Routine analysis of gross revenue for the Hospital, Ambulatory Network, and other areas as necessary.

Identify missing charges, and potential charge issues, and partner with Revenue Integrity Department to resolve issues.

Identify trends and monitor variances of Hospital charges and communicate root cause to enior administration.

Work with individuals from the Revenue Integrity Team, Financial Analytics Team, clinical areas, and IT to ensure proper recording of gross revenue from host systems into EPIC.

Partner with Business Intelligence & Analytics to validate the integrity of Gross Revenue that is represented on Dashboards and other reporting tools.

Reconcile the patient accounting system to the financial accounting system and identify any inconsistences.

Assist in the completion of the monthly closing package to be shared with Senior Leadership.

Review expense invoices to ensure that appropriate charges were captured for a variety of services.Reporting

Assist with the completion of annual audits by governmental agencies as it relates to revenue.

Assist in the completion of annual surveys for both internal and external sources.

Maintain and distribute reports necessary for monthly closing processes.

Provide ad hoc Gross Revenue reports as requested to assist with in depth analyses, as well as Revenue Assessments, monthly closing exercises, and routine reviews of gross charges.

Maintain database of charges to be utilized for quick reviewEducation Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree RequiredExperience Qualifications

At least three (3) years related Financial Analytics & Planning experience RequiredSkills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.Required
