Position Summary

The Basic Needs Program Coordinator serves as a member of Student Support & Advocacy staff team and reports to the Senior Program Manager for Basic Needs Support. The Coordinator for the Cherry Pantry is responsible for providing day to day operational support for the Cherry Pantry and programming around basic needs and support for the Temple community. The Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the pantry, ensuring its smooth functioning and availability of resources for students in need. This position involves managing inventory, procuring supplies from wholesalers, and ensuring timely deliveries. The Coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for external partners, including overseeing logistics and coordinating partnerships. This role will be responsible for volunteer coordination, inventory purchasing and stocking and donation drive coordination. The Coordinator hosts programs and workshops for the Temple community around basic needs support, nutrition and work to connect students to additional support resources outside of the university. Works closely with the Case Management staff within the Student Support & Advocacy to ensure holistic support for our students. Performs other duties as assigned.Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree

At least 2 years of directly related full-time, professional experience in a field related to human services, social work and/or educational administration.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Required Skills and Abilities

Basic budgetary understanding

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to operate standard office equipment.Preferred

Experience with online inventory management software.

Experience using a purchasing card with online receipt uploading

Knowledge of social media use.

This position does require Personally Identifiable Information and Cash Handling background checks.
