7a-330pRequirementsA bachelor's degree such as art, dance, music or physical education is desired. A current, valid driver's license is required. Related experience is desired.Knowledge of the principle of physical education, recreation, and leisure activities and their therapeutic value, as it relates to intellectually developmentally disabled individuals.Knowledge of policies and procedures of the facility.Ability to maintain all required documentation.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain a positive work relationship with staff and individuals.Ability to lift and transfer individuals, utilizing prescribed techniques usually exceeding fifty (50) pounds.Ability to develop and carry-out activities with creativity and initiative.Ability to organize and direct team and individual competition.Knowledge of safety regulations, as it relates to recreational and leisure activitiesMerakey is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer!
