Established in 1989, Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. is a law firm that limits its practice to the collection of unpaid real estate taxes and municipal utility fees. PLA now represents more than 200 municipal clients throughout Pennsylvania, with offices in King of Prussia, Allentown and Aliquippa.

Job Overview and Requirements

Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. seeks a full-time or part-time Entry Level Financial Services Clerk.

The Financial Services Clerk will provide financial and clerical assistance in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate reporting. The Entry Level Financial Services Clerk will report to the Financial Services Supervisor. No prior office experience is necessary and training will be provided. Located in our King of Prussia office, this position offers a hybrid work model post-training, providing flexibility and work-life balance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Deposits

Read and analyze files in Collection Partner software to determine proper account to credit.

Data entry of large number of checks.

Enter amounts into Excel and cross check deposit for accuracy with computer statement.

Create deposit tapes and maintain daily deposit log.

Payoffs

Provide accurate and timely payoff information:

Must be detail oriented.

Thorough search of both loaded and unloaded claims.

Enter information into Parcel Reporting System.

Document Collection Partner files.

Respond promptly and courteously to internal and external phone and e/mail inquiries.

Other Duties as Assigned

Essential Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and the Internet.

No experience necessary – will train.

Ability to work overtime, on occasion.

Ability to concentrate for extended period of time.

Ability to take direction.

Ability to handle stress, remain flexible, and multi-task.

Ability to work and relate with people at all levels, in and out of the organization.

Must be able to work with deadlines.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Continual attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting salary $17.00 hourly
