Expert Technical Support Chemist - JR2419759DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SSG Process Development team is looking to add technical support chemist to the dynamic group. Your primary responsibility is to provide advice and solutions related to our OLED products. You will work onsite at our Monroeville, PA R&D Center and report to the Group Leader II.Key Responsibilities
Be a primary contact for manufacturing sites, offering advice and solutions related to the commercial processes and products.
Address technical inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations to improve the process understanding.
Support operations with root cause investigations (RCIs) by executing lab trials to validate or eliminate potential root causes. Document and report conclusions to partners.
Collaborate with operations and process development to apply insights from RCIs across existing and new products.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the PPG OLED product and associated manufacturing processes.
Analyze and interpret data related to product performance, quality, and feedback from clients to make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
Mentor, train, and teach best practices to junior support chemists.
Works in a safe manner. Reads, understands, and follows all pertinent SOPs.Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry with 1+ year experience or Master's degree in chemistry with at least 5 years' experience.
Proven experience as a chemist in the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotech industries, with a focus on technical support and customer interaction.
