As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will receive requests for CHRI from individuals, businesses, and, non-criminal justice agencies. Utilizing computer skills and strong attention to detail, you will compare identifiers from the requested individual against identifiers found in criminal history databases. You will then update the requested subject's criminal history record, which entails interpreting complex court dispositions and making accurate decisions concerning outcomes. You will need to request assistance via phone or mail when the necessary information is unavailable. After compiling and interpreting all CHRI for the requested subject, you will provide appropriate data in response to the request.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: This position does not offer telework.Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:
You must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:
You must pass criminal history and background investigations.This position issubject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.If no applicable union-covered bidders apply, other applicants will be considered.
