Description Robert Half is trying to fill a PART TIME Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.What you get to do every day

Execute additional tasks as needed

Provide customer service to internal business partners

Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

Operate full-cycle A/P

Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

Spreadsheet and database capabilities
