Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to keep track of goods and services and manage orders to facilitate sales or production. As the Inventory Clerk you will be signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand. Working closely with the purchasing manager and inventory analyst
Data entry duties
Control inventory by stocking and cataloging products
Managing items by counting and classifying
Placing inventory orders for vendors and suppliers and then securing shipment arrival times
Notice and report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
Comparing costs from different vendors after obtaining estimates
Handling document discrepancies

1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience using inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
Must have an understanding of the range of services and products offered by the company
Analytical and mathematical skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
