Job Opportunity: Maintenance Mechanic/ Handyman
Our client based in Canby is in need of a Maintenance Mechanic/Handyman with over five years of experience. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of farm equipment. Additionally, they should possess expertise in welding/fabrication, basic electrical knowledge, plumbing, irrigation systems, painting, and carpentry.
About the Company: Supplies top-tier conifer tree seedlings for reforestation purposes and Christmas trees tailored for the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia region
Responsibilities:
-Test and replace electrical parts.
-Maintain and repair farm tractors.
-Fixing roofs, painting, and doing basic carpentry.
-Repair damaged equipment.
-Train equipment operators on proper usage and maintenance.
-Operate farm tractors and other equipment.
-Fix and maintain plumbing and drainage systems.
-Maintain pumps and irrigation systems, repairing as needed.
Requirements:
-Can drive tractors and back up trailers.
-Knows how to stay safe with lockout-tagout.
-Can use machines and tools.
-Good at welding and painting.
-Understands basic carpentry.
-Knows a bit about electrical stuff.
-Can fix plumbing.
-Can read and write English for work.
Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM / 4:30 PM (farm weather dependent)
Pay: $18 - $21/hr DOE
