QUALIFICATIONS
At least (5) years of carpentry and remodeling experience.
Knowledge of basic residential remodeling and carpentry principles and skills (e.g. plan reading, structural work, rough framing, door and window installation, drywall hanging and taping, insulation, finish carpentry, deck and fence construction).
Must be organizationally minded, and can maintain a safe and orderly job site.
Must be able to keep accurate records and perform timekeeping, including electronic submittals.
Must have reliable transportation, the ability to transport lumber and sheet goods, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Must have a basic selection of personal hand tools to perform the work (e.g. drill/impact driver, circular saw, reciprocating saw, etc.).
Experience with basic remodeling saws and nailers (e.g. table saw, compound miter saw, oscillating saw, framing nailer, finish nailer, brad nailer, etc.).
Able to work as a leader and/or as part of a team, based upon site requirements. Comfortable taking the initiative, collaboratively minded when problem-solving, able to work alongside subcontractors, and to impart skills to a colleague.
Positive attitude, motivated to learn, work efficiently, and accurately.
Open minded, seeking to learn new skills and hone existing ones.
Able to ask questions, take direction, a high level of accuracy and pride in your craft.

Ability to lift 50 lbs safely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and execute daily punch list for yourself and (1) colleague.
Review architectural plans and ensure work product conforms to plan requirements/applicable code.
Problem solve construction issues with subcontractors/trades.
Discuss construction issues with project manager and clients as needed.
Select and purchase appropriate materials.
Collaboratively resolve construction issues.
Guide and train lesser experienced colleagues.
Execute job specific tasks, such as: wall layout, window and door installation, rough and structural framing, drywall installation, deck and fence installation.
Anticipate construction issues and work proactively with project manager and colleague to resolve them.
