Position:
Cabinet Finisher/ Painter
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age
2-5+ years of cabinet finishing experience
Experience with spray guns, sanding, color blending, color matching and touch-up
Able to take direction and instruction from supervisor
Solid transportation and prompt
Working knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools
Excellent communicator
Positive Team Player, who takes ownership of role
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Work in finish department using spray gun to lacquer, paint, and topcoat finished products
Various stain application techniques
Sanding cabinetry before painting and in between each coat
Inspecting all pieces before finishing
Maintain and care of cleanliness of spray room, chemicals, and all finishing equipment
Responsible for production work and learning the trade
Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily weekly, project, or team related production goals
Ability to effectively communicate with team and customers
Ensures that sub-assembled and assembled items meet specific quality specifications; may propose process
improvements in order to increase finished quality or efficiency of assembled processes
Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers
Works as a helper for various departments
Willingness to be cross-trained and adapt to varying assembly roles
Able to competently operate a powered drill and use hand tools such as tape measure, hammer, mallet, scraper, utility
knife, etc.
Able to log time and attendance on production computer
Must arrive and depart from work as per specified schedule. May be asked to work extended hours
Maintains professional attitude when approaching work assignments
Follows procedures in company handbook
May be required to perform specific tasks that involve lifting, pushing or kneeling
Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals,
mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust
