Tidal Transport & Trading USA Ltd. is actively recruiting a Marine Superintendent to join our team. We are a marine services company, specializing in cargo hold preparation and stevedoring support. We have been a fixture in the maritime industry on the West Coast since 2005. Our staff is comprised of master mariners, superintendents, and laborers serving a dedicated customer base locally in Oregon, as well as up and down the coast. Our investments in safety and technology making us one of the most sought-after service groups on the West Coast. We are seeking to add motivated individuals to our group who bring their talents and experiences to share.

A bit about you…

You have a background in the maritime industry, or a background in a related field (construction, civil, US Navy, etc.

You are deadline-oriented and able to work with a small team to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.

You can communicate clearly with customers and vendors both verbally and electronically, proficiency with MS Office suite is preferred.

You are physically fit, able to climb long ladders, lift and carry up to 50lbs., and comfortable working outdoors in adverse weather.

You are comfortable working aboard seagoing vessels, at height, and preferably have some documented experience with heavy equipment operation.

Specific requirements:

You must have a valid driver’s license.

Willingness to travel with the Team. Our work is 50-60% travel. Travel time is compensated, and accommodations are arranged for you in advance.

A good attitude. Our job is high risk, and each team member looks out for one another.

HS Diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or deck officer license is preferred

You have documented experience of at least 2 years in any field related to maritime operations, construction, or engineering.

You are familiar with communication by email and have experience with Excel and Outlook at a minimum

You have a clean driving record and own transportation. The job is 50-60% travel out of state (Oregon, Washington, California, Gulf Coast)

You are willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Able to obtain a TWIC card through a Department of Homeland Security background check
