Job Summary/Objective: The Leasing Agent is responsible for: attending staff meetings and training, marketing vacancies, responding to inquiries, scheduling and confirming appointments, conducting vacancy tours, conducting the move-in walk-through and orientation, tidying properties, and related correspondence.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working with a diverse population, have a positive and friendly personality, good communication skills, and have the ability to manage their own schedule reliably. Must have good computer skills, a reliable vehicle, and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team. Training and office equipment will be provided. Prior property management experience is not required, but is preferred.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have working knowledge of general office computer programs; we utilize G-Suite (Google Drive documents, spreadsheets, calendars). Also, must have an aptitude for learning the basics of AppFolio property management software.
Previous experience in property management or a related field can be beneficial, but an eagerness to learn the industry, integrity, and excellent work ethic is imperative.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability for on-call and PTO coverage of team members may be needed.
Benefits/compensation:
Approx 20 hours/week, hourly position. $25 per hour.
Schedule flexibility desired; some weekend/evening work will be required. We are open to negotiating the schedule around other responsibilities you may have.
