Well-established builder in Portland looking for staff to aid in the business's next adventure. It goes like this-
Position starts with general office work. Filing, document control, document generation on Microsoft platforms, scheduling contractors, and communicating with high-end clients are all part of the entry steps. Once you have this aspect of the work down, another person will be hired for you to train in handling the office and some communication-related tasks. Then we start phase two.
Phase two- Addresses the owner's assignments covering a wide range of responsibilities in content creation for wide distribution. He has been asked to develop two channels with construction and educational content. You help move the general project forward. Assisting with video shoots, editing, uploading, communication with vendors, and sponsors.
Employment will begin part-time with 1-3 days per week in September. Office assignments to start. Get to know the office, how it works, how it communicates with all types of people, how the current website is being upgraded, and lend a hand in a wide range of capacities.
A positive fitting person will move forward to more hours, more responsibility, and more creative work.
Pay is commensurate with experience. Range is likely $19.00 to $24.00 to start. Once hours reach 30 per week, a quality medical and dental package is offered.
You will work directly with the owner of the business, receive tasks to address, and have great freedom to complete the work requested. The office was recently upgraded with the latest in Apple systems. Must be highly Mac literate, handle Microsoft platforms, and know a bit about AI as well. Superior Mac computer skills required. Being able to research and self-educate on the go is a real plus. Being a great communicator goes without saying.
The business is located close in at SE in the Central Eastside Industrial District. Office space, full-service woodworking shop space, all in the same building. Previous experience in the field of construction is a real plus.
