Spa Coordinator Job Description

Located a block and a half from the Pacific Ocean, in the heart of Manzanita, we strive to create connections with our clients, listen to their needs, and create a supportive environment where they can relax and restore.
The Spa Coordinator serves as the hub of our day spa; supporting our clients and our team members. The Spa Coordinator assists the owner in managing the effective operations of the spa; answering phones, booking appointments, managing day-to-day operations such as laundry and spa facilities, ensuring clients feel taken care of, scheduling and communicating with staff, creating organization and a seamless experience for all.
Primary responsibilities of this role include:
Provide an excellent spa experience for guests
Manage the daily operations of a busy spa including:
o Front desk client intake
o Client booking and checkout
o Retail sales and product merchandizing
o Assisting staff and guests with any questions, problems, and/or needs
Provide spa support including laundry and light cleaning
Prepare select spa services, e.g. foot soak and infrared sauna preparation
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Experience and competencies for success in this role include but are not limited to:
Experience delighting customers in a spa, hospitality, or high client-facing industry
Ability to remain calm and capable in a fast-paced environment and in the face of competing demands
Ability to promote the health and wellness benefits of both massage therapy and facials
Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and retail product lines
Knowledge of scheduling software/booking apps and/or ability to learn quickly
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with guests and spa team
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
Maintain confidentiality
Work with chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing
Provide a safe environment to perform professional spa services
