DMV Title Clerk/Office Admin and Personal Assistant to the GM

Employment type – Full-Time/Part-Time since Iam seeking both.

Compensation – $20.00 to $26.00 an hour which will determined by skill, experience and other. Plus mileage reimbursement.

No experience is required and we are willing to train the right person for the job. We can teach the skills to become a DMV clerk. What matters is the right attitude, willingness to learn, do what it takes and grow is more important than experience.

This tentatively is a 930-430pm M-F schedule. Weekends off. This is completely tentative and subject to change.

Responsible for assisting the robust and high-volume business office of a large and growing dealership. This position supports the dealership and other office people with titling, A/R, A/P, scanning, and other administrative duties as requested. Performance of these duties in a timely and customer-service-oriented fashion is key. This position will require a lot of phone interaction with customers, note taking and follow-up with the customers. Attention to detail and willingness to solve the issue assigned with fortitude and a never-give-up attitude.

The right person for the job will be a good multi-tasker, able to handle frequent interruptions, and prioritize their assigned work, this based on business importance, direction or legal deadlines. Unfinished work items and projects will need to be remembered and returned to for independent task completion. DMV transactions can exceed the 140 a month mark. This person will also perform certain inventory functions.

This position will be required travel locally (within approximately 40 miles) based on business need to pick up documents, checks, bank visits as well as post office. It is required the individual selected for this position have their own dependable vehicle, drivers license, and insurance, as we do not provide a company vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is provided for company assigned tasks in addition to wage to compensate for use/wear and tear.

The person in this role will be the voice and face of the business, as they will have frequent communication with our business partners, customers and DMV. They will also represent the GM and be an extension of him. We don’t require formal business attire but do need the candidate’s appearance to be business related, tidy and professional. Additionally, we require good telephone and customer service skills. This person will report directly to the GM and will also be the personal assistant to the GM.

Iam looking for a team player with a positive attitude, who is both willing and eager to offer support wherever is needed in the administrative functions of the dealership. Some aspects of the job are detailed, and it is as important to ask questions as it is to learn from the information received and be able to apply it to future tasks. The car world is a unique environment different from most other office jobs and you have to be able to adapt to that and the environment.

What you will be doing:

Stocking in new vehicles for the dealerships

Processing paperwork for dealer trades for the dealerships

Vitu DMV as well as Manual DMV transactions

Be the go-to for DMV and maintain all files, delay letters, title mgmt, folder notes

Personal assistant the GM and duties assigned with that.

Processing payoffs on trades

Keeping all filing up-to-date, current, and accurate

Scanning, photocopying and faxing vehicle documents as needed

Assisting dealership personnel as necessary

Performing other duties as assigned

This is an hourly position with weekends and certain major holidays off. Occasional extra hours may be required.

This position comes with a set Paid Holiday schedule, 1week paid vacation and a medical stipend to assist in market place medical insurance. Vacation time starts after 4 months. Holiday time starts after 3months. Medical stipend starts after 45 days.
