PEER PROGRAM SUPERVISOR I (STANDING STONE RESOURCE ROOM)

This position is located at our Plaza Health Center, Urgent Walk-In clinic in SE Portland. The schedule is variable but typically Monday through Friday, day shift.

As a Peer Program Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the Standing Stone Resource Room, providing support and direction to our peer providers. Standing Stone operates as a space for individuals receiving services at the Urgent Walk-In Clinic to receive assistance with accessing resources, and providing peer support in a time of crisis. You'll work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the effective implementation of crisis response, risk assessment, and stabilization planning for adults and children in Multnomah County. Your leadership and guidance will empower peer providers to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care, fostering an environment of inclusion, safety, and acceptance.

REQUIREMENTS

Completed Peer Support Training approved by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). Traditional Healthcare Worker (THW) certification required (or proof of application with certification within 6 months of hire). Personal experience with mental health services and recovery required.

Minimum of three years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness or dually diagnosed individuals.

Provide leadership and oversight for the program's daily operations, integrating best practices and evaluating program services.

Assist staff in managing challenging client situations and consult on treatment decisions with program leadership and stakeholders.

Build relationships with community organizations and healthcare providers to enhance client care and support.

Monitor staff compliance with regulations, review program policies and procedures, and provide input to program leadership.

Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting quality and efficiency in Cascadia operations.
