Swingshift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Technician

We are a large family owned meat production and distributor facility in Clackamas, OR. We are currently looking for a talented Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Technician to join our Maintenance team. Responsibilities would include performing maintenance on a variety of production machinery and facilities and electrical wiring and trouble shooting. Must have strong Industrial Mechanical skills. This shift a 5 x 8hours+. We operate Maintenance 7 days a week. You will get one weekday off and rotate between Saturday and Sunday off. Hours are 2:00pm - 12:30am+. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00+ per hour DOE to start. Actual scale is higher.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Install, assemble and test new and existing production machinery and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.

Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.

Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.

Usage a CMMS to schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.

Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.

Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.

Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.

Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.

Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain equipment and records.

Familiarity with MS Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively.

Strong team/verbal/written skills are required. Demonstrated ability to be a Team Player.

Able to work in a loud environment and cold environment.

Must be available to work any shift and weekends.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

Familiarity with MS Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance, millwright, or other closely related experience

Experience troubleshooting: PLC’s, controls instrumentation is a plus.

Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.

Able to lift 50 lbs. routinely / frequently and be able to sit, stand or climb or walk for 8 hrs.

Ability to act competently in emergencies.

Organized and detail oriented.
