Job Position:
Seasonal Entry Level or Experienced Production Maker (Lean Manufacturing)
Open from September until January 2026, a FT seasonal position with the potential of moving to a Permanent full time position after January. Hours are Monday through Friday at our N. Portland office 8:15am to 4:30pm with flexibility. We’re right across from Peninsula Park that has a beautiful Rose Garden. Approximately 35-40hrs/week, with overtime opportunities. Starting compensation is $22.00 per hour. Grovemade is a growing company, and there may be room for growth and change in this position.
Description:
Production team members perform tasks involved in the manufacturing of the company's products. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Processes are constantly updated in our spirit of continuous improvement.
Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. This is a physical job that will require lots of sanding in our woodshop, which has a number of loud and dusty machines and running tools. Production is currently a team of 7.
Essential Tasks:
Gluing of parts
Hand and power sanding using various machinery
Applying finish coats to products
Assembling products with bolts, screws, and other fasteners, both manually and with drills
Reporting any quality control issues
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives
Using a side sander
