Prime Manufacturing is currently seeking a highly skilled Lathe Setup Machinist to join our team. The Lathe Setup Machinist is responsible for setting up CNC lathe equipment and efficiently producing parts to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have lathe and swiss machine setup experience with sub-spindles. This is a fast-paced position where the individual must be able to work on multiple projects, and can handle working overtime as needed.
Important Note: We are currently located in Estacada but we will be moving to 13,000 sq foot space in Wilsonville near the Costco this August. Looking for employee who is ok with traveling to Estacada until August and then continuing in Wilsonville after the move.
Responsibilities:
-Setup and operate CNC lathes in an efficient and safe manner.
-Use Fanuc controls to operate Doosan Lathes.
-Prepare machines to reliably run parts for swing shift.
-Read customer drawings to accurately measure, document and adjust CNC machines as needed up to +/-.0001" tolerance.
-Install fixturing and tooling to CNC machines using company procedures.
-Perform advanced troubleshooting and provide feedback to programmers.
-Use a variety of hand tools to perform Setups to company procedures.
-Conduct preventative maintenance on company equipment.
Ideal Candidate:
-5 years experience performing setups on CNC lathes with live tooling, Y-Axis, and sub spindle.
-Experience in operating Fanuc Control CNC Machines.
-Swiss Machining Experience.
-CAM programming experience for lathes.
Required Experience:
-Minimum 3 years experience performing setups on CNC lathes.
-Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and stand for majority of shift.
-Must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States.
Pay:
-$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
